Well, it hasn't been quite 4 months...

Bonjour anyone who is still here!

I wanted to have some writing to share the next time I posted here, but all I have are a pile of passive aggressive poems. And my usual plethora of stories that are forever in the process of being written. (Lately I've been working on a short story. I was enchanted with it once, but now I feel I am doing a poor job writing it. But I shall prevail and finish. I hope.)

To be honest, I am trying not to feel like a complete failure. I don't even want to talk about the things I have failed at. Yet everyone (my parents, mainly) is still so supportive, and I'm sure at any moment they will realize they are wasting their time and love.

Oh, but I didn't want to head down that miry road...

Hm.

Some highlights since I last posted: I turned 20 (is that a highlight?); my sister got married; I saw a James McCartney gig; I got my very own Ellowyne Wilde (there's a long backstory for that); I've watched all of Community and Pushing Daisies and started a lot of other awesome TV series.

That's all I can think of. A highlight this week is that I'm going to go see Before Midnight in theaters. Eep! Before Sunrise and Before Sunset have been my favourite movies since I was 15. I may end up going to see it alone, which I've never done before, but there is little that could keep me away from seeing it.

I hope to be on blogger more this summer. Mostly to comment, as I'm not sure how much I'll be blogging here. Though I do plan on music blogging in the next week and also more after that, so you can visit my music blog if you like.

I hope you are all well, mes amies.

  1. Slow and steady wins the race! Yeah! hehe, just felt like throwing in some Aesop. And short stories also take me longer than I'd think, but I'm beginning to like the process/journey/uncertainty (I didn't think that would ever happen?)

Congrats to you (again :) ) for your birthday & to your sister for her marriage.

I'm excited you'll be on blogger more, hope you'll update with some writings—excerpts or poems or whatever— along with your music blog, but what you prefer is what matters of course! Your blog does have such a comfy homelike feel to it.

    Talk to you soon. :)

    1. I always appreciate some Aesop. ;) Hey, that's great! I'm not sure I'm there yet, but maybe I will be someday soon.

      Thanks so much, dear. :)

Awww, all of that is so sweet of you to say. :O ♥ I hope to have some writing to update with too. :)

I hope so, dear friend. :) xx

  2. Happy birthday! Hope your summer and writing/blogging go splendidly (and yay for new TV series!).

I have started going to movies by myself; it's surprisingly easy to get used to, and better than not going at all. :)

    1. Thank you, Marian. :) I hope your summer endeavors go splendidly, as well! :D (Yay, indeed! It's marvelous.)

I was able to find a friend to go with me, but I feel sure I shall someday conquer going to the movies alone! Though I guess the key would be actually wanting to go see the movies that are coming out, which doesn't happen very often. XD

  3. Hi. :)

Maybe you remember me, maybe you don't. But I've quite missed you. And I have also been a poor blogger, as of late. I just get too lazy or busy and never make it on here to actually write anymore.

Oh well. Good to hear from you. :)

    1. Hello! :D

Yes, of course I remember you, Ashley! I'm just pleased you remember me. Hehe. It's a shame how that works isn't it? I've missed you too! I'm glad you seem to be around again. I hope I will be too.

It was so wonderful to hear from you! xx

  4. Belated happy birthday, love! (I'm three years older than you! hehe. I just found out, but you are quite wiser in all aspects.)

Of course, don't ever think you're a failure. I believe in all your writings, and I don't think it's a waste of effort to do so. :)

    1. Thanks, dear. Awww, no. I am certainly not very wise. :) (Also, did I miss your birthday? I can't remember. If so, happy belated birthday! But if not, happy unbirthday? :D)

Darling!!! You are pure starlight. Thank you, thank you. ♥

  7. You watched all of Pushing Daisies??? YAY *dances and bakes pies*

Isn't Ned spectacular? Everything about that show makes me happy. It's a big influence on my own writing too, since I love creating quirky characters and strange situations (and hopefully making them work!).

Congrats on becoming 20! If you haven't felt it already, being in your twenties is a odd feeling. You're not all grown up yet (no matter what anyone tells you) but you're not a kid either. Until I hit thirty (not for another five years), I'm probably going to feel that limbo. And when I'm thirty I'll feel incredibly old and jaded, haha!

I look forward to reading more from you when you're back with posting; your comments on my blog always brighten my day and I love getting to read pieces of your stories :)

    1. Yes I did! :D *dances and bakes pies with you* Ned is spectacular, indeed! Though my sister had already watched it, I introduced the rest of my family to it and they loved it as well! Ahh, yes--I thought I remembered that you were a fan of it; it certainly seems right up your alley. I can definitely see its influence in your writing. (And you do make them work so well.)

Thank you! I am certainly experiencing that feeling... Haha! I suspect I shall be the same at thirty.

      Awww thanks, Kim! :) xxx

    1. Thanks, love! This is several months late now probably, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Ooh, 21. I guess that'd be a more exciting birthday if you were American (drinking laws and all). XD
The wedding was very nice! Didn't dance with any handsome laddies, however. Which is probably good as my dancing skills could scare off the nicest of men. ;)

Awww, thanks dearie! I hope all is going well with you and you are taking care of your beautiful self. xxxxxxxxxx

  9. I felt that I had to leave you an obligatory comment. Just to leave a mark of my presence here. You are too important for me not to write anything at all, even though this is a very old post and you will probably never see my comment. x

Silhouettes of a secret. A story told over a cuppa. Or perhaps just sitting on that stone bench, basking in the moonlight... and not saying anything at all.
